As Jamaicans advance into the world, its important for the citizenry to be global market ready.
Here’s a list of suggestions towards improving our nation to making it perfect, with emphasis on the PEP examination
(Numbers 111-120)
111. Make good reference to colleges abroad such as Khan Academy and YUMPA
112. Take advantage of local institutions such as Powell’s Academy, Hayles Academy.
113. Recruit college students to assist on a volunteer or stipendary basis in primary and basic schools and community centres
114. Research and take advantage of free online material such as from YUMPA.
115. When watching You Tube, ensure children are NEVER alone as there are errors in a number of the videos even from respected teachers.
117. Any available material should be easy to read and follow for students and even parents with limited understanding and command of literacy and numeracy skills
118. More videos by the Ministry of Education should be made available
119. The MOE should monitor schools better, especially as there are still teachers still not complying with the curriculum
120. There needs to be consistency in the use of language and lessons in the txt books example timeline of people of Jamaica.
