On April 18th, 2009 Jamaicans will be able to vie for awards for their creativity at Mountain View Kite Festival.
The festival is held at Easter time, in collaboration with Negril’s NEET Foundation.
NEET (National Environmental Education Trust) will support a kite festival in Mountain View, Jamaica, with the intention to foster community creativity and safe, joyous spaces for children. Highlighting a traditional approach to Easter celebrations, old and young will have a chance to showcase raw talent with handcrafted kites for prizes.
The kite festival, according to Member of Parliament, Dr St Aubyn Bartlett is another step towards improving the image of the Mountain View area, and its immediate environs.
