Ever wondered where those Gleanerites, Observians, or persons from other media houses you used to know are NOW?
Times are changing and so are the careers of many. In the field of the arts many explore a number of careers whether literary, performing, visual, culinary.
A few journalists that you might have known from media houses across Jamaica might have changed the colour of their ink, or their slate completely. What you need to know is that there are more journalists and other professionals who spent time at the Gleaner, considered the “North Street University” than you may know.
Well for some former students, and to some , “former inmates”, many famous writers and even politicians etc got their first big break at the gleaner. Have fun tracing the history of some persons you admire.
Still this is just a list, to be updated over time to give you just a clue of some of the people who have touched your lives — who got some time at the caribbean’s leading newspaper.
