EDITORIAL: Jamaica Kartel full of Vybz and nothing else

Strange how Jamaicans view this whole Vybz Kartel drama. To me its more vibes over vybz and nothing more. Forums are being held, and tv programmes focus on Kartel. Needless to say, some of these persons have altered their appearance, but seemingly ARE upset just because of Kartel’s decision to lighten his skin.
They go at him about ‘bleaching’ and moreso acsribing the title as role model to him.
I beg to differ. Although his thoughts on ‘bleaching’ are that it is a matter of style, I beg to differ on Vybz Kartel being a role model. Role models are good and bad.
Jamaican parents, guardians and those IN CHARGE of raising children in my opinion need to bear in mind that they are THE ‘PARENTS’. The question therefore is how then can an entertainer be asked to parent your child by changing his tune?
Entertainers become entertainers to earn money from whatever expression they choose.
THe Bible itself teaches TRAIN UP a child in the way he should grow — pray tell why are Jamaicans seemingly training their children to be trained by entertainners.

On the other hand, Mr Kartel, perhaps you need to file or proclaim a disclaimer other than”I am an entertainer”. Why not follow the lead of others who add the note — DO NOT ATTEMPT this at hime, without adult consent or supervision. Or perhaps list your acts and certain music as XXX-RATED for over 18 years old either.
This brings me to another point — what exactly are children under 18 being allowecto listen and exposed to — and BY WHOM? Whose call is it? REALLY?
