Delus, who commenced his three week promotional tour on Saturday May 15, 2010, has decided to extend his tour until July due to additional appearance and performance requests.
The singjay, who originally planned to wrap up his tour on Saturday, June 5, 2010, has been making appearances at clubs and charity events throughout New York’s Tri-state area. This past weekend, Delus performed at a charity event hosted by JAMPACT on Friday, June 4, 2010 at Bar 13. Then on Saturday, June 5, 2010, he performed at SOBs.
Delus’ tour schedule continues on Thursday, June 10, 2010, where he will take part in “Dollar Van Demos Live” as part of Internet Week New York. Rapidly emerging as one of the leading global gatherings of internet innovators, Internet Week New York, now in its third year, is expected to draw more than 20,000 people to more than 100 events across New York City from June 7-14. Internet Week New York will kick off with an official proclamation from New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg on June 7th and culminate with The 14th Annual Webby Awards, a star-studded gala honoring the Internet’s best and brightest at Cipriani Wall Street on June 14th. In between, conferences, networking events, meetups, screenings, and even sports competitions will unfold across the city. Included in the official events is DOLLAR VAN DEMOS LIVE which will feature a collection of the best undiscovered hip hop and reggae performers.
The occasion marks the return of Dollar Van Demos to IWNY after their successful debut last year. The web series began in February 2009 as a showcase of musical artists inside a Brooklyn dollar van with real passengers. The filmmakers call the results ‘reality music videos’ that are fresh, unpredictable and whole lot of fun. Started by husband & wife team Joe and Iara Revitte, the series has produced some 50 video clips that have reached over 100,000 views on YouTube, was licensed to McDonald’s for two national commercial spots, and has quickly established itself as the go-to venue for undiscovered talent.
Later that evening, Delus will perform during Rum and Rhythm “An Evening of Caribbean Culture” at Roseland Ballroom, 239 West 52nd Street, New York City. To close out the night, Delus will return to Brooklyn, New York to perform at Nightflight Nite Club, 578 Albany Avenue.
