Delus for Japan tour - Anthea McGibbon

Delus, with his brother Konshens and fellow recording artist, Darrio, will embark on a two week tour in Japan. This is not Delus’ first trip to Japan. Delus and Konshens, before pursuing solo careers, recorded under the name Sojah, which means “Sons of Jah.” Their first single entitled “Medz Pon Di Corner” on the Cash Flow label, went number one in Japan in 2004, which afforded them the opportunity to tour Japan. The tour prompted the release of the duos debut album titled “Sons of Jah.” Songs recorded by Sojah included “Mi Mada” and “Segregation” on Cash Flow Label; “Cyaan Draw Wi Out” on the In The Streets Label; “Real Love” on the Vertex Label; “Ratata” on the Open Ear Label.

The Japan tour comes right after the singjay’s rigorous six week U.S. promotional tour, which concluded in mid-July. The promo tour, which was sponsored by Nuvo, Linkup Radio, JAMROCK Magazine, Upscale Crowd, Whereitzat Magazine, Negril Village Restaurant, Carol’s Daughter and Color Heritage Apparel, consisted of radio, television and print interviews along with club appearances and performances. During that time, Linkup Radio’s DJ Kevin Crown got the exclusive release of new single “Another Gal.” Since then the single has dominated the airwaves in Jamaica, Europe, Japan and other Caribbean islands.

Upon his return to Jamaica, Delus has been featured on Hype TV, interviewed by the Western Mirror, Jamaica Star, Jamaica Observer, Zip, Nationwide Radio, News Talk 93FM, Irie FM and hosted Hype TV’s VTX Video countdown. Additionally, Delus’ EP “My Reality” was released on iTunes and other digital outlets on August 10, 2010. On August 17, 2010, the EP received a front page feature on iTunes in France. The EP was released as a result of Delus’ exclusive digital distribution deal with Zojak World Wide. Zojak Worldwide, a leader in digital distribution of reggae music, specializes in promotion, worldwide distribution and piracy protection.
