EDITORIAL: No time for gossip, play your own Jamaican drum

Funny how many Jamaicans are joining the list of reaching out to those seeming even slightly better off than themselves. Truth is, all the world’s a stage and that stage is either now changing or retiring it’s actors.
I remember the result of a challenge by US president all too well when there just werent any funds. THe citizens were told to ‘tun han mek fashion’ so to speak and they did. THE RESULT — potato – chips, powder and so much more.
How about Jamaicans?
Governments.. no excuse for any are failing and falling, snared by deception, lies and the ‘wanna-be personality – wanna be rich, wanna be powerful, wanna be seeming all wise and intelligent.
Truth is its becoming a situation of each Jamaican for himself and then collectively for others. Not necessarily as we ARE SELFISH.. but then there is need to be self centred.
Work out our own salvation to be in a position to assist others without sacrificing humility.

So as times get desperate, destitute, each Jamaican need to adapt what has always worked. In the midst of struggles, get focused, be challenged, get creative, walk good, go straight and definately don’t stop for gossip especially from the narrow-minded people.

Today is pay day for most. If you do get paid, act like its your last pay check, and no more job was promised to you. If you aint getting REAL SALARY-like payment — it’s almost as though there is no future job promised. Dont sit and allow frustration and poverty to swallow you up. GET CREATIVE!
