I went to the doctor who told me that I am aneamic. He gave me pills, but I don't lke pills. For one they are bid and red. What else can I take.

RESPONSE: Dear Student,
Eating and leafy vegetables is a quick beneficial way to go, especially sea vegetables such as seaweed. Callaloo, broccoli, cabbage, spinach should be top on your grocery list. Other quick foods include tamarind, nuts, pulses, beans and seeds all packed with iron. You can also try any part of the moringo tree, which has three times as much iron as found in spinach.
For traveling purposes, a cereal or mix of varied nuts and seeds makes a good snack. You can slighlty steam your vegetables or cook your pulses, beans and seeds and pack to go.
