Jamaica music countdown by Richie B as at October 8


As we near the EMC awards competition for the Mobo award seems to be heating for the reggae section among artistes Gyptian, Gabby Ranks, Vybz Kartel, Mavado, Damion Junior Marley.
Check this out. Richie B gives the countdown live on you tube in a dynamic, colourful, clear video clip. Dark Skin Girl by rising star Romain Virgo is a newcomer to the top 25 reggae charts.
Number 1 reggae single is “This is for Real” by Ras Charmer.
The Leaders is at number 9 a jump from 5th spot last week.
On the top 10 albums this week, Buju Banton enters at number 10 with Before the Dawn. Gyptian is number 1 with Hold You.

View on you tube if you will, but it’s listed as the October 8-14, 2010 period.

18 songs move upward, and 7 songs move downward on the top 25 dancehall singles charts. At number 1 is Wayne Marshall featuring Mavado in My heart, after 14 weeks on the dancehall singles charts.

Bugle, Spice, DJ liquid are featured in Dancehall singles chart.
Shaggy and Alain’s collaboration “For Your Eyes” only enters the charts. (See review on this site). Up by two spots is Khago’s Nah sell Out to number 5.
Top 3 is Vybz Jeans and Fitted, Second spot is held by Drinking Rum and Red Bull by beenie Man featuring Fambo.
