Jamaica Music Countdown May 11-17, 2012 by Richie B… Damion “Jnr Gong” Marley again tops the Reggae Singles charts, Bruk It Down – Mr Vegas again tops dancehall singles
The countdown by Richie B gets competitive this week, especially within the album. Ziggy drops to 5th place on top albums with his Wild & Free entry, exchanging places with Sweet Jamaica – Mr Vegas up from last week’s 5th place. Singing Melody’s They Call Me Mr Melody falls to third place widening the gap behind top album Diversity – Gentleman. In second is Mental Maintenance – Konshens which was third last week.
Sophia Brown rotates in the number 8 with Catch Me If You Can ahead of two newcomers.
The public have holds Affairs of the Heart – Damion “Jnr Gong” Marley on top of the Reggae Singles charts in its 10th weekly appearance on the charts. Judgement Day – Raging Fyah is number 3 and Silver Words – Robert Minott feat. Kirk Kbz is 2nd both holding same spots last week.
C-Sharpe band’s The Invitation cannot be found on the charts, but their Book of Rules – C-Sharp is 21 on the Reggae Singles.

For Dancehall Singles chart, Shaggy’s Summer in Kingston is notably missing. Set Up Shop – Damian “Jnr Gong Marley” drops to 18th place, but Bruk It Down by Mr Vegas holds 1st place.
On the Reggae Singles charts, L.O.V.E. You – I-Octane last week’s new entry is this week in 24th place making room for newcomer Come Over (Missing You) – Busy Signal. Judgement Day – Raging Fyah is holding out 3rd, but Sophia Brown’s Tonight Is The Night is 8th after 5 weeks… two of which was at the number 1 spot on this reggae singles chart.
