DWAYNE HAMILTON hails from Saint Ann, Jamaica, but he’s no less a Jamaican authentic artist. Just entering his 20s, the young artist fell short of getting formal education in art facing financial challenges.
From his heart, he flows original ideas, and thinks outside the box in how he expresses himself. Then his concepts have developed into refreshing pieces. He’s a soft spoken gentleman who is in love period and radiates with passion towards as he finds unique ways to overcome shortcomings of others such as through his art, mostly centered on promoting love and peace.
His works are done in pencil and coloured markers mostly, and not the usual acrylics or oils popular with Jamaican art. Some of his works come alive when he renders them in silver on black paper.
His work sometimes appears faint, but not pastel reflecting a timid use of his tools, but this is made up by the concepts he reveals.
Subjects such as love and the supernatural connections are popular themes and at times he flirts with nature.
His works get intense detail as passion drives him, and he strengthens the use of pointillism.
Birds, female figure, and rose are common elements in his work. His work is worth collecting while he is young in his expressions. His unique concepts makes him stand out and he only needs now to strive to develop his techniques to be as dramatic as his concepts so catering to a wider variety of clients.
