Jamaican makes it to top White House position

Jamaican born Claudia Gordon is the new Associate Director in the White House Office of Public Engagement in the Obama administration.

The Deaf News Today reported on July 24th, that Gordon moves from the Department of Labour where she dealt with potential discrimination by federal contractors to now become the White House’s disability liaison.
Gordon was compelled to become a lawyer after experiencing discrimination as a child while growing up in Jamaica.
