Accomplished Reggae superstar and entrepreneur Junior ‘One Blood’ Reid now gearing up for an intense overseas campaign, continues to raise his international profile. The veteran crooner recently collaborated with DJ Khaled’s – We The Best Music Group (WTMBG) on a new single titled ‘Who Wan Test’.
Performed by WTBMG rapper Nino Brown ‘Who Wan Test’ features Reid laying down some smooth vocals on the grimy urban beat while Brown delivering a commendable effort using snippets of the Jamaican vernacular. Now gaining momentum on the U.S airwaves DJ Khaled has also released a remix featuring Dancehall bad boy and label-mate Mavado.
Aimed at bolstering their radio presence an official video was shot under the watchful eyes of director Steve Alien of Steven Alien Films. The visuals were filmed throughout the thoroughfares of Miami, Florida. No stranger to the U.S. music scene, Reid expressed his viewpoint, citing the project as a great experience.
“As an ambassador for Jamaica and Reggae music, it is always great when we can collaborate with other people and cultures to create something positive that broadens our reach internationally. Working with DJ Khaled, Nino Brown and Mavado was a good experience; this shows that if we as a people unite we can accomplish anything,” he said.
Back in Jamaica, Reid has released three new singles namely: ‘Same Boat’, ‘Share The Night Together’ and ‘Never Let You Go’ ahead of the festive seasons. Prior to his overseas assignments Reid and sons Andrew, Juju and Wada Blood are booked to appear at a Christmas Family Fun Day in Portmore, St. Catherine.
