The Joint, SiriusXM’s reggae music channel, will pay tribute to the iconic reggae band Third World with the “’96 Degrees in The Shade/Third World Tribute Weekend” featuring the band’s music, an in-studio performance, interviews and more.
All this weekend, SiriusXM listeners will hear the band’s international hits, deeper tracks as well as Third World’s legendary members sharing their personal insights on their career and music. Additionally, The Joint will present a special encore of the band’s exclusive in-studio performance and interview recorded earlier this year
“96 Degrees in The Shade/Third World Tribute Weekend” will air Friday, July 1 beginning at 12:00 pm ET through Sunday, July 3 at 12:00 am ET on The Joint, channel 42.
The Joint plays reggae music from its roots to today. Listeners will hear music by Bob Marley & the Wailers, Gregory Isaacs, Jimmy Cliff, Burning Spear, Vybz Kartel, Capleton, Dennis Brown, Sizzla, Beres Hammond and Jah Cure
