2011 Superplus Under-40 contest artist talk

This Wednesday 7 September at 5:00pm will be the Artists Talk and at 7.00 pm – Prize Giving Ceremony of the Super Plus Under 40 Artist of the Year Competition.
Who will win the Jury Prize and who will win the Public Prize this year? Will one artist walk away with both prizes? the three competing artists are DUANE BENNETT, O’NEIL LAWRENCE and COSMO WHYTE.

Then on Thursday 8 September from 10.00 am – 10.00 pm – Yes we will be open for Fashion Night Out- create fashion and come to the Mutual Gallery for a glass of wine and discounts on artworks.

On Thursday 15 September at 7 pm – Opening of the Albert Chong exhibition. Albert Chong is a contemporary artist working in the mediums of photography, installation, sculpture and artist books. His works feature personal mysticism, spirituality, race, identity and numerous other topics as well as celebrating the beauty of images and objects. He lives in Boulder, Colorado. His last exhibition in Jamaica dates back to 1994. Come and see this provocative exhibition by a fascinating artist.
