According to Lord Byron Burton, who lives in Kingston Jamaica, the island is to be the headquarters of the world. Referring to it as the New Jerusalem, the name under which he has set up a Development Centre, he offers classes and health talks to anyone who willing to take heed.
A brief chat with Burton is often prolonged as his depth of knowledge is deep, and his studies are expansive. Above all, his views on Jamaica being the chosen head of the world is unique and attractive to many persons.
Jamaica according to him is divided into 12 parishes, that is with Manchester and Clarendon combined as one.
Using the Bible as reference, each parish is allocated to a tribe and interpreted ACCORDING to a particular disciple. Individuals who visit are told about their blessings based on their birthmonth, and parish. For example a female born in November from St Ann will have luck in Westmoreland according to burton. He further ascribes the tribe of Gad to such individual claiming that November-born are of the characteristics of Thomas – hard to convince, yet loyal once convinced, among other things.
Burton is currently developing a Heath centre on 40 acres of land in Blowfire Hill, St Ann where he originated before migrating to England and then returning to Jamaica. A trained scout, he promotes Herbal Life products, and uses his own experience of loosing 100 pounds.
Jamaica’s herbs and greenery are very critical to Burton.
Once the founding head of the Arawak museum in St Catherine, Burton who is light skinned dismisses the idea that the Arawaks ‘discovered’ by Christopher Colombus and the Tainos are one. This is just one topic elaborated at his classes and workshops.
He also teaches about the true meaning of Jamaica, and it’s origin as he sees it from his studies.
What he has to say about Mount Arafat makes an interesting discussion, as he travels through world history and brings out his vision for Jamaica as centre for the world.
His books, personality calendars, and writings are available atSuite Jamaica, Iberostar Hotel, Rose Hall, Montego Bay.
