SHAUN REID is a Jamaican artist extraordinaire. At his St Mary studio, he leads others into the world of art, starting some in their career, as he says sadly there is very little to expose residents in that area. For Suite Jamaica visitors, tours are arranged to visit his studio for workshops.

Unassuming and easy going in character, the Jamaican artist who stands a bit more than 6 feet is a humble giant. He is a painter who is destined for great fame. He has done abstracts which were well received and tried conceptual works. His passion is the landscapes and animal life of Jamaica however, which he represents very strongly, almost better than the reality itself, and he will never do nudes.
