QUESTION: Dear Jamaican herbalist,
Someone told me today to drink tea from the sour top trees bark. I know about the leaves… but the bark — hmmm?

RESPONSE: Dear Gloria,
Was the person who advised you an elderly person or someone who is close to elderly persons? I do not see many Jamaicans using the bark, although they do know about the leaves. The bark is very good for the nerves system.
