The winning designer of the second season of will get $500,000 courtesy of National Commercial Bank of Jamaica (NCB) to start their clothing line. This is the main prize, but yet again symbolises National Commercial Bank heads leading the corporate world in supporting creative minds.
Wayne Chen, one of the heads at NCB is a strong back of the Superplus under 40 contest for local visual artists hosted by Mutual Gallery.
Other orizes for the winner include an industrial sewing equipment valued at $200,000 courtesy of singer Jamaica; a contract to sell their designs at SOHO boutique; a six-page fashion editorial in Ocean Style magazine; and a scholarship to pursue fashion programme at the London College of Fashion.
THE second season of the reality series Mission Catwalk airs this Tuesday, March 27 on Television Jamaica.
Contestants from Barbados, Belize, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago and home country Jamaica will compete in weekly challenges which test their skill and creativity. The 13-week series culminates with three designers at a live showdown in Kingston where the winner will be chosen.
