Since storming on to the music scene a few weeks ago with the now viral ladies anthem ‘Blah Daff’ True Gift Entertainment (TGE) recording artiste Raytid has been experiencing a significant upsurge in his career. Aside from being featured on several popular media outlets and performing at major shows such as Zip FM Soca fete, Aquasol Beach Party and Montpelier Agricultural and Industrial Show in Montego Bay. The burgeoning star continues to break new ground for himself and was only last week given some additional good news to celebrate following the announcement that the Socialyaad Records produced single had made its way on the prestigious British based BBC Radio outlet.
Premiered by Seani B during his weekly radio show where he updates listeners on the hottest Dancehall, Reggae and Soca tracks coming out of the Caribbean. The song has been receiving a lot of positive feedback in that market since the debut.
According to Raytid, “This is really great news knowing the song has made its way onto BBC, I wasn’t even aware the record had reached so far. Nonetheless it’s a great look for my career and a sign that the song is destined to become an international hit. Lastly I have to thank the BBC 1Xtra family, my team and everyone who played a role in the promotional campaign.”
‘Blah Daff’ is currently one of the hottest songs in the local entertainment space and rapidly becoming a fan favourite amongst partygoers and jocks alike. The song continues to garner immense popularly especially during the Soca season and already threatens several popular charts in Jamaica and the wider Diaspora.
Meanwhile, plans are now afoot for an official music video which is slated to be shot in the days ahead by the visual arm of True Gift Entertainment who is also responsible for the reality series ‘Talk Yuh Mind’.
Last week Raytid also released a second single titled’ IGGY’ which is now available for purchase on iTunes and other digital platforms. Fans can listen the song on his official VEVO channel at youtube.com/raytidVEVO.
