Ways to improve Jamaica: 91-100: Sutton Street bailiff office



It’s no secret that on visiting the Parish Court at Sutton Street, one faces drama, pure drama.

Here’s a list of suggestions towards improving our nation to making it perfect, with emphasis on the parish court at Sutton Street
(Numbers 91-101)

91. Proper signs and labels to the bailiff office
92. Produce customer friendly brochures about bailiffs, procedures and their service to there public.
93. Recruit younger persons to work in the Bailiff office
94. All levels of administration of the bailiff office must maintain respectful behaviour to all persons while on court property.
95. DO NOT broad-brush everyone who sits on the outside of a building.
96. Better record keeping for customers of the courts.
97. A proper system listing detailed bailiff services, and a guide for customers on how to fill in forms
98. Confrontation with private process servers must be discouraged
99. Improve the service list, for example add a service to track litigants
100. Improve the fee structure. If persons will be forced to use court assigned persons in the bailiff office, the court should consider payment by sponsors for those who just cant afford the bailiff fees.
