QUESTION: Dear Legal wiz,
Hi I was wondering… if my father passed and the house title is in his name only and i have been paying the taxes on the house for seven years, can i get the title in my name. I have also had the house surveyed..

Based on what you are saying, it is being assumed that your father did not leave a will. Therefore there are several directions you could take. Please give us more information so you can get even basic guidance. Please tell us for example if you are an only child and if your father was married.
