2016 FORMS: To recover your premises in Jamaica

Most Jamaicans who go to court for recovering their houses, office space from occupants usually wind up at the Parish Courts islandwide. This is because claims below a certain amount are heard there. Up to 2016, this amount is One Million Dollars.
Although in a number of instances where the house is valued for up to Two Million Dollars the claim is heard by the Parish Judge unless there is a challenge such as objection voiced by the Defendant. Then it is up to the Parish Judge to decide if the claim for recovery should be forwarded to the Supreme Court.
