QUESTION: Dear Legal Wiz,
Believe it o not I need you to help me out here. I raised two boy children. They seem to not have developed a sense of responsibility. They dont clean up after themselves, and they always seem to want to rely on someone else to do things such as help them to cross the road. They are 16 and 18 years old.
I believed I was raising them according to the law by providing everything for them.

RESPONSE: Dear Andrez Romeo
Well seems like they were trained as ‘ENTITLED CHILREN” As long as they are under your roof, they are still IN TRAINNG. These following steps are suggested. (1) Train them to be appreciative. Show gratitude with a simple thank you. (2) Tough Love works a lot of times when you make them lose on their own and simply guide and encourage them to overcome their loss. Maybe you can allow these grown children to take the bus a few times. (3) Do not give them everything they request from you. Rather let them earn things. (4) Work together in serving others. A great example help them to make cards of gratitude and encouragement or visit the elderly . The one I find working for my children is encouraging them to assist others with their learning and baby sitting.
