If he tore up the notice, do I write another one?

I gave my tenant notice today. He tore it up and cursed. Can I still get him removed?

You can. It doesn’t matter that the tenant tore up the notice to have him removed from your Jamaican property. Simply wait till the notice is up and start a PLAINT – court matter for recovery of possession. You will need to state one of the several legal reasons according to Jamaican law. It is recommended that you contract some else to serve the summons that will be issued for the tenant to appear.
Please ensure that your notice is legal as the dates may be in conflict.
