Legal shows for Jamaicans

A glance at TV drama series could actually be beneficial to Jamaica, especially when it comes to law and order on our soil.

When it comes to law and our rights, too many Jamaicans, while pretending to have a first world mindset, believe it or not are still operating as a fifth world country in a third world frame.
The court system in Jamaica however is being upgraded as is evident on almost every visit to any courthouse these days.

Still, the mindset of Jamaicans could do with a fresh understanding of the law and their rights. Travelling overseas, at least a view on court in other jurisdictions, could be among the best tools to improving how we interact with each other locally.

Some law is international and if not for the learnt principles, the following are great at explaining some principles of law.

Judge Pina
Judge Judy
Judge Mathis
Divorce Court
Couples Court
Children Court
Family Court
Paternity Court
Caught in Providence

Albeit legal minds in the great America argue that these online dramas dont actually reflect actual events in court. HOWEVER the principles of law are factual.
Maybe one day we will have a return of the Jamaica court drama TV series.
