Need to buy land I live on over 30 years, but…

QUESTION: Dear Legal Wiz,

Hi legal,
Am buying a piece of land. We live on it over 30 years but the person selling the land name is not on the title. It belongs to her father who is dead over 40 years now and she is paying the taxes in her name. Plus the cost of lawyer probably cost more than what the property cost. What do I do?

Your question is vague. Be aware however that there are legal aid clinics across the island who assist persons restricted by a low budget. Proper procedures must be followed.
