Title in granddad’s name, can he sell land to me?

DEAR LEGAL WIZ,
Hello.I am trying to buy property from a person with a homestead title in his grandfathers name. Is this possible? We want 1 title in my friends name and 1 title in my name in the
end.

The response depends on what other documents he has that gives him a right to sell. An attorney-at-law would need to see additional documents being relied on.
