QUESTION: Dear Legal Wiz,
I really am not in the least bit happy with how my lawyer is playing God with my case. It involves a lot of money and my gut feelings tell me is against some of the treatment I am getting. For example once I briefed him on what exactly happened, its as if I do not count anymore. The last time we were in court he alone spoke, and half of what he said was so far from what happened, yet he didnt ask me anythning for reference. Is there an instrument that gives any guide in how lawyers should conduct themselves?
CY
RESPONSE: Dear CY,
You can look to a number of instruments, but the Legal Professions Act is a good place to start. See it here.
