‘Wicked mom’ throws son out of Jamaica home

QUESTION: Dear Legal Wiz.

A bailiff turned up with the police and threw me out of my home. He then told me to sue my mother because I was cursing about the things that got damaged. I cant believe I told the judge I helped my mother to buy the house and build on rooms. I dont remember the Judge making an order for me to leave. My mother is wicked, wicked and I really think I am going to kill her. Can you assist?

Mercel Morraine

RESPONSE: Dear Mercel Murraine,
Thanks for reaching out. It is important to understand the the court process works. For the bailiff to show up, a JUDGE WOULD HAVE TO GIVE AN ODER. It seems you were not taking the court nor the judge as serious as your mother was. Maybe you were star struck and didnt pay attention. Hopefully you didnt sign consent. Please see if you can visit the nearest legal aid clinic for more detailed assistance. You can write to us privately and we’ll see if we can link you with an attorney.
