COURT LANGUAGE: Judgment Summons

Judgment Summons: This refers to a summons sent to the defendant to return to court to explain how monies ordered at an earlier time, against him/her will be paid. This time the monies are going to be paid into the Court for the winning party to collect it from said court.
The summons outlines the possibility of an initial 10 days in jail if the party to pay can pay, is ordered when to pay but still doesnt.
It is never wise to ignore a Judgment summons and parties are encouraged to instead come to court and prove your financial status.
