Gambling in Jamaica

Jamaicans are fast becoming professional gamblers betting on almost anything. Did you know that Jamaicans have now joined the world in betting on sports? Jamaicans bet and the stakes are as high as millions on football, basketball and other sports. It’s not just about horseracing anymore.
Added to this reality, new betting games are introduced on and offline almost yearly as more shops open cross country. Sadly its mostly men who are seen overcrowding gambling spaces, while women go off to work – some resorting to gambling with their bodies.

What is interesting is although it’s been advertised as false hope, the numbers that spend that last dollar saved for a morsel of bread and willingly do without when they lose is amazingly on a rapid rise.

It’s little wonder why the gap between the rich and the poor widens.
Over 10 prominent business persons admitted not partaking in gambling.
They dont see high risks they take as gambling. Even owners of race horses admitted not gambling themselves, but merely earning by the winning in the races.
They leave gsmbling for the poorer class.
In the end it’s all about selling hope. The one who wins congratulations to him or her.
For me I admire horses running wherever and when ever I can see them running. I dont know of any rich person who has not gambled in one way or another.
Still he Bible tells me not to put my money to usery.

EDITOR’S WARNING:________________________________________
If you don’t like, or support gambling, BE CAREFUL as getting involved with Jamaicans who play, can be very persuasive. Even bible followers who remember so well “Do not put your money out to usery’ participate somehow AND WIN!
Enjoy watching them or playing nonetheless!
