‘Going through the motions’ writes Drew L Hinds

“I am sitting here reflecting on how many of us claim to be “Church Folk,” yet we can be the worst folks.
I know I may not get an Amen, but I am going to speak anyway.
I am confused on how we believe it is okay to club the night before church service, and again that same weekend. Some of us are tempted by immoral sexual acts.
The word [bible] says, choose ye this day whom ye will serve. So many of us want to have our cake and eat it too. We can’t possibly think that we can indulge in everything worldly and think we can honestly serve God also. We must be honest with ourselves and get real. Be real: honest, faithful, trustworthy, humble, meek, parents, & Christians.
I am speaking to myself this morning (mind you my demon is not clubbing, but same rule applies). I pray that we grow to understand that we must change our ways and our thoughts, before God can truly bring us to our full potential. I pray we all flee from temptations. We all know are weaknesses, so we are our biggest enemy.Be encouraged my friend, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.”
