Can I sue her for my cut of the profits from car sale?

DEAR LEGAL WIZ,
A friend of mine and I had an agreement over a vehicle she was selling. She wanted $975,000 for the vehicle and expressed if I sold the vehicle for more the difference would be paid out to me. I went ahead and advertised the vehicle for $989,000 and I got a buyer. The buyer purchased the vehicle and no money was paid out to me. This was a verbal agreement made between my friend and myself as well as there are some WhatsApp conversations between us. Can I sue?
