It is interesting to note the ripple effects caused by recent reports of lotto scammers. Now even Jamaicans are finding it hard to trust their own kind. Some of these persons wind up doing very malicious acts, either not caring or not being aware of the ripple effect that it can cause to them like being hit like a boomerang. Some take to the internet and post malicious one-sided articles to say the least.. no contact, no name, no invitation to comment- COWARDS!~
Either way, warnings must be heeded and these persons need to beware and take care to note that especially in these modern times even a pin can be found using the internet tools with the right skills.
I wont bore my readers, nor myself with trying to hunt down who is behind the blog
stopscammingjamaicans.blogspot.com that threatens to make me, Anthea McGibbon, famous. Albeit, if I do become famous by the hits to this malicious blog, may money follow suit for my relentless efforts to assist Jamaicans through their challenges for pennies.
Here is my response:
Recent enough particular Jamaicans living abroad contracted my services, paying only a mere deposit. During the tenure other tasks became necessary and were also added which would demand more monies. While the tasks, except for the illegal and immoral ones were carried out with diligence, and appreciated, the results were sometimes slow in manifesting.
Additionally, to perform other acts bringing about the desired results, monies were required to move forward to at least offset external expenses. So far only two such cases exist. In the first instance the client began a series of threats and contacted a local government office who contacted me. Follow up investigations confirmed I was in the right with my further decision and action, and I need not say more for now.
The second client has threatened me with death, yet overlooking the volume of work surpassing her deposit done. Although she received scanned documents which were delivered to parties in Jamaica by her request, she has chosen to rumour that I took huge sums of money without doing any work similar to the other client.
I cannot forget to even hint at the friend I helped out who knew my prices and knew he got more than a discount he bargained for, and could not have gotten elsewhere. Imagine his nerve however to ask me for a refund when he gave me wrong information to begin with, sent me to other locations and further made me drop everything to rush to his assistance on follow up days, claiming the record was in fact found.
Really, do I need to say more. I shall leave it for a more appropriate space, time.
Jamaican clients are scammers too
I am led to wonder that there are more than those accused of scamming in Jamaica, with a self centered and even a malicious intentions. Some of these so called clients also are wolves in sheep clothing going after the ever working businessperson who must please his client to keep business alive and further to secure the opportunity to be promoted in a good light, hence to expand and grow.
They contract you, give you a story, secure your empathy and proceed to get you doing more and more knowing fully well they either do not have the money, or have no intention to pay you. They have you at times working on several tasks, and then at the end of the day demand the completion of one task without paying more funds.
I have learnt my lesson on business, friendship, empathy, sympathy.
This reminds me of the time at my previous place of employment when a woman who entered a contest wanted me to give her better winnings than the first prize winner even though she came second. The contest was initiated by me, but judged by strict outsiders.
She then proceeded to win over several gifts and an apology with the pun “The client is always right’, and even had managers of that company seeking a written apology from me, but I stood my ground. Hence, another reason was born to prod me to doing legal leg work for others who might otherwise have experienced the same or similar fate.
I also started the OAaSIS International Foundation to assist, and this is a not-for-profit entity that operates on its own. That this perpetrator should choose to post something which bears no relation to the Foundation or its aim to promote arts and culture is another question even the dumb and blinded by ignorance would pose.
No, in my opinion the client is not always right
In my, Anthea McGibbon world the client is NOT always right especially when it is at the expense of my own reputation, character and fibre of my body. Why should I lie to keep a job? Why should I lie to make you look good? If I must lie, and bear consequence for you to survive then I wonder about your own survival.
Thus I beg to differ with the principle of turning the other cheek as that has landed many in jail. It’s good that we are in a modern world as Jamaica Member of Parliament Daryl Vaz proved when he successfully tracked down the person who he claimed fabricated reports that he raped and killed the then 15-year-old Dianne Smith some 27 years ago.
So now…
Propagation and Slander and International ACTS
There is a malicious article published on a website with my, Anthea McGibbon’s name and photograph and information downloaded from her own website, which they, the perpetrators hacked into. The author is so far unknown, as such articles and even the website bears no name and no face and no opportunity to reply directly. Wisdom dictates that I should not personally promote propaganda by sharing the URL, and even a mention in this article borders as readers here may now go seeking out that website and article.
The administrators have been contacted to remove the articles, and to close or take down the website.
These persons, deemed as troublemakers, are seeking to convince others that I, Anthea McGibbon have no paralegal training, is scamming Jamaicans, as they are claiming that there is no office, and they paid deposits but did not receive work.
What is yet to be understood is is why such perpetrators would choose this medium of attack, knowing full well they can be sued for malicious propaganda in this modern world. Their hidden face, address and contact, and further blocking others from commenting would only serve to convince anybody that these persons are nothing more than troublemakers with a poorly aimed agenda.
I, Anthea McGibbon and the network members strive to assist all clients beyond duty’s call and to the best of my and our ability. Other clients do testify to my good work, and the successful efforts of my team who have proven to be efficient.
For all persons who seek more than is/was bargained for, please feel free to contact me personally to see how I or the team can assist you. Please also feel free to investigate any claim made by I or any other member of the network starting with a visit to any of the office locations.
Please feel free to speak with even a few of satisfied clients. Now on to the legal aspect – I hope by this blog, I myself have not invited additional hits just in case there is a lawsuit for propaganda.
Thank you
