Most Jamaicans use CASTOR OIL extracted from the plant for the heath of their scalp and hair. Hot castor oil is applied at washing to strengthen the hair and get rid of dandruff, lice, fleas and other scalp problems.
Warm castor oil is applied as a bath oil to relieve skin problems.
Then it commonly considered a good rub for arthritis, and other bodily pains. The plant is also used to cure constipation.
It is known to have effects on rats, and ample dosages kill the rodents.
