At the Bookland, yesterday, September 1 Anthony Winkler commanded both attention and emotion of the attendants who came out to witness the release of the ‘Crocodile.’
The Jamaican’s Crocodile is hilarious and yet serious, and as Winkler read hilarious chapters, there was a time for laughter and then silent crocodile tears.

The fable explores how far believers go because of faith, through a plot involving his once house helper and a river dwelling crocodile, but yet reveals much about touting believers.
Without revealing too much about the plot, the author still manages to reveal hardships, especially constant abandonment, Jospehine has experienced from her youth. He also reveals his ‘dirty mind’ about some annoying character traits of women through the fictitous characters.
Josephine is a Catholic house helper, whose challenges mount throughout the book, so it seems from the read sections. Her character details the typical situation of women, especially of her social status falling prey to men just after a day in the warm river bed. Then after the swim and frequent dips, she like other ‘victims’ is abandoned, and immerses into the Rio Cobre to be eaten by the crocodile. But is she?
She replies to a letter from Wilbert, her former ‘lover’ addressing it ‘Dear Dog.’ She has vendettas to score, but does she?
The Winkler following begged for more, and called for readings from other books such as Greasy Leg. They got instead brief readings from The Annihilation of Fish and Other Stories.
Take its hilarity on any level you want. The more you engage, the more you
