QUESTION: Dear Jamaica Legal Wiz,
I called you on a Sunday, and you managed to get me an attorney to do my power of attorney document for me. I really appreciate it because I had an emergency and I could only visit Jamaica for 3 days.
She emailed me and although I had to call her a couple of times, I was the reason for the delays. I dont know if she told you thanks, but I am. You dont know how had we have it in the United States to get these things done with good people.
I am going to use her again.
Sean Powell
Dear Powell,
Thanks. Not all attorneys or Jamaicans for that matter are bad. Despite challenges and bad experiences, lets continually work towards team efforts.
Therefore for technical circumstances such as bank transactions, probating wills, title offices or TRN and even certain court experiences etc you may need to rely on expert and experienced opinions as the document may need to be tailored for each individual scenario.

I would like to rule out corruption and do not know where to turn or whom to ask in Jamaica and so I am asking you for some help and possible a good lawyer that you can recommend.
A Default Judgment was filed in Febuary 2019 and I still have not heard back from the court. I have a feeling the Lawyer has lost intrest in the case or the defendants have influenced some one in the court system since they are wel know people. I am at my wits end as to what to beleive., but I am still not sure how long a Default Judgemnet will sit in the Court system or who to trust.
